Fighting crime
Studies show that criminals are deterred by a neat, well-maintained neighbourhood where community members are active and engaged and can spot their environment.
Holding the municipality to account
In addition to the real jobs improving our area, Better Kensington provides oversight of the municipality to make sure its limited resources are well used. We are demanding greater accountability and transparency in all actions.
Pothole Repairs
Potholes are a serious hazard. Not only do they result in expensive damage to cars, but they also provide an opportunity to make money in criminal activity. Better Kensington is making our roads safer by repairing as many potholes as possible.
Not all potholes are easily repairable. Potholes that result from water leaks often need intervention from council to fix underlying water infrastructure. In these cases, Better Kensington will work with council to make sure repairs are completed according to acceptable standards.

Making Kensington Better Cleaning, Weeding, Restoring and Creating Jobs
We are creating employment, with funding and support from residents and businesses, we employ previously unemployed people who sweep streets, tidy, pick up litter, weed, cut grass, paint fences, and plant.
